many more images from this shoot on my website. a beautiful day spent with wonderful people. Thanks Ty and Anna for always creating such a relaxed and focused work environment. :)
well, today is the kind of day that makes me love my job. it helps me to forget all of the steamer burns, blisters from wearing rubber boots with the wrong kind of socks and hawling a 60 pound pack full of styling kit stuff up the side of a mountain, the sun burns from my absent mindedness and total neglect of sunscreen on a 90degree day shooting on a lake, the giant knots in my lower back from holding a reflector for 8hrs straight.... today I get to go shopping- without the guilt of spending money. i will spend the afternoon picking out beautiful things for a shoot coming up at the end of the week. Soon I will be frantic, and the stress of logistics will have taken over. But for now, I am going to enjoy the fun bits of my chosen career. I am going shopping~
I just went for a long slow bike ride. Winding my way down the boulevard, through the grove of Elm trees, over the river and into the grass for a nap and a read. what a perfectly lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon~
love these lovely rooms. I have been thinking of painting the wall that my desk faces for quite some time now. At the moment it is a crisp white and the wood trim around the window is a dark kind of cherry. This pink post from DesiretoInspire.net may have just won me over. Is there any other color that sparks such happiness? If you have any other suggestions I am all ears!
I was turned onto this company by my dear friend Nyree who registered with them for her wedding dishes. Since then I have come across their gorgeous table settings at Twist in Northwest Portland. They are elegant, interesting and timeless. Also their colors are to die for! www.heathceramics.com
I am a wardrobe and prop stylist based in Portland Oregon. i love beauty and design and am constantly inspired by the little things that catch my attention. this blog is an outlet from which i am able to bring all of these things together and perhaps provide you with a bit of inspiration along the way.
enjoy!
